BREAKING NEWS - Alaska and BIG fish

What are you laughing at?

BREAKING NEWS - Alaska and BIG fish

Postby OldAirmail » Thu Jul 04, 2013 1:31 pm

From that amazing newspaper the Los Angeles Times - Ancient rockfish caught in Alaska

Yeah, it's a big old fish. But that's not the amazing part.

I don't know how I could have been so misinformed, but according to the LA Times -
"It would mean the fish was born before the U.S. bought Alaska from Russia in 1967."

Sorry everyone, they must read SimViation. They just corrected the story. It was funny while it lasted.

If you search for the phrase It would mean the fish was born before the U.S. bought Alaska from Russia in 1967. you can still see some of the newspapers the reprinted the original story.

I see no reason to keep fish in an aquarium.

I like them much better on a plate. :D

MORE LATE BREAKING NEWS!

The record-breaking rockfish caught in Canada IS NOT older than Fozzer! :D

Record rockfish was 64 years old, not 200, tests show.

I think that it's funny that I'm as old as I am. In fact I almost died in my early teens. I never thought that I'd make it past 40 or 50, but here I am.

Hence my nom de plume - Old Air Mail.

Unless I'm mistaken, Fozzer seems to wear his age with pride, and has his measure of humour too.

The original news report said that the fish was 200, or more, years old. Now they say that it's only about 65.

I just wanted Fozzer, and the world, to know that the fish didn't have him beat out on the age thing.

I would have you know that many of my Sim V Flight Sim Chums from the 1930's (Profiles) here, are considerably "more elderly" than me...

..and we all have a wicked sense of humour, and never take; "the game" too seriously..!
