In that case I expect you would be horrified at Page 3 of the Sun & other popular British tabloids. I only look at them for the pretty pictures. I won't post a link in case I get rapped over the knuckles but it's a long time since the sight of a naked bosom would shock anyone in this country. I suppose it's a matter of culture & what you're used to. I think these papers are banned or censored in countries like Kuwait.

Believe my Doug, the Germans are way ahead on that sort of thing. You get topless ladies on advertising billboards there. And I swear to god that when looking in the newsagents you have a hard time telling if the magazine is pornographic or the TV times.

I saw an HBO special/documentary type thing about this a few years ago. One of their examples was a TV commercial for shampoo... I think you can imagine what it was like.

I wasn't horrified, I was just a little surprised to learn that Germany didn't censor it's media as much as America does

Well the extent of censoring in the american media became apparent to the rest of the world after the "janet jackson wardrobe failiure" at the superbowl a couple of years ago. America was stunned at something most of Europe wouldn't even blink at.

Right, things like that are the norm over there. Give it time and we'll have them too. They were just too early with that one.
