You might be a flight sim dork if...

What are you laughing at?

;DYou yell "Clear the prop, CONTACT!" when you boot up your computer.

You've made simulated strafe and bomb runs on Rich Daley's house since he closed Meigs.

When you're in a traffic jam you look at the cars and trucks around you as fellow aircraft on a taxiway.

You've driven your co-workers nuts with your rendition of "Come Josephine in my flying machine."

You have a powerful fan on top of your monitor to get the wind in your face feeling when flying an old Curtiss Pusher or some other open cockpit plane in flightsim.

You've done things in the sim that would get you arrested or killed in real life. (Beechjet on the deck down the Las Vegas Strip...What Fun! ;D)

You find that your parents/your spouse/the law keeping you from playing flight simulator is a cruel and unusual punishment

You didn't think twice before replacing your dedicated flight simulator PC when it went down

You saved up a month worth of lunch money so you can blow it all at once on a flight sim addon

Your pickup line is 'Hey baby, you'll make a good co-pilot'

and anyone else thinking about making a website out of this? ::)

You secretly feel sad when you board a passenger plane and see an off duty crew in first class, knowing that your chances for landing the plane as a last hope are no virtually nothing!

You start telling stories to people about the time "you've flown there" and you're not even a private pilot.

After watching "Air Emergency" you go to SimV, download the featured aircraft and fire up your sim and prove that it is possible to land after you've recreated the situation.

hmmmmm lets see...

*have more than 100 hours logged since christmas
*think you honestly could land a real crippled airliner
*make in flight anouncements to your cat/dog/spouse...
*hold preflight safety briefings to your cat/dog/spouse..
*havn't done anything you wouldn't do in a real aircraft

You argue with your father (real airline pilot) that "I can totally outfly you anyday"

You brag to your friends about your newest payware.

You buy / download add ons just to proove that their not all that good, and far over rated.

You gave up getting a brand new bike ($2700) to buy a flight sim deadacated computer

You call BDSM "Flying IFR"

90% of your internet activity is on SimV or on payware sites.

You just spent an hour Making screenshots with fellow simmers online.

You considered buying the SaiTek X-52 just so you could write a review on it.

You have spent almost as much or more money as you have on other hobbies (Airsoft, Dn Hill Mtn Biking, My Integra, My Girlfriend) on FS.

You plan to miss school the day MF 2006 comes out just so you can play all day.

You saw some crappy stunt pilot at an airshow, and claimed "HA last night you should have seen me, I was soo much cooler than this."

You converse with Military pilots / Airline pilots on the realism of FS....FOR HOURES!!!

you skipped half a day of school when you got your new joystick.

You brought a laptop with MSFS 2002 on it to the first day of school because you were sure that you would be bored without it.

You still use that laptop everyday, and fly more than you study.

You actually considered going home and flying during the kinkiest makeout session of your life.

You fly over a mtn as low as you legally can just to prove that FS is soo much more fun.

Ya thats all I can think of. All of these (and most others on this thread)i have done. Actually except the BDSM thing, ya that I just thought was funny.

Oh ya and one more: Your the only one who responds to things at 12:30 AM EST

I used to play Grand Theft Auto Vice City, & when I'd be driving in the real world I always used to get the urge to knock people of their motorbikes & steal them, just for kicks.

Similarly, after playing Goldeneye on the Nintendo (many moons ago), whenever I saw a cctv camera, I always used to want to shoot it.
