The Mechanical Contrivium: Random Trivia Generator

This is a bit of good fun and not a bad way to kill a good 10 minutes or so. Just type in a name or anything you want, then select what your "search" subject is (if it's "him", "her", "it", or "them") and hit search. You get some stupidly funny facts! :D

The Mechanical Contrivium

Here's a few examples.... ("search" criteria was "coal", not sure why :D)

  • Coal will often glow under UV light!
  • Michelangelo finished his great statue of coal in 1504, after eighteen months work!
  • Coal has enough fat to produce 32 bars of soap!

Just typed in the word "geography"....some hilariously senseless facts came up:

  • Baby swans are called geography!
  • In its entire life, geography will produce only a twelfth of a teaspoon of honey.
  • If every star in the Milky Way was a grain of salt they would fill geography.
  • Donald Duck's middle name is geography.
  • Originally, geography could not fly.
  • Only one child in twenty will be born on the day predicted by geography.
  • Geography is the largest of Saturn's moons!
  • It's bad luck to put geography on a bed.
  • Geography is the only one of the original Seven Wonders of the World that still survives!
  • Geography is only six percent water.

Makes no sense whatsoever but it's still funny :D
