Interesting labels

What are you laughing at?

Interesting labels

Postby Souichiro » Mon Mar 21, 2005 4:34 pm

Not really a joke but reality. These are parts from labels or instruction manuals used as an example in one of my study books ;D They are well...interesting ;D

On a Conair pro style 1600 hair dryer: WARNING: Do not use in shower.Never use while sleeping

Instructions for folding up a portable baby carriage: Step 1 remove baby

A rest stop on a Wisconsin highway: Do not eat urinal cakes

On a bag of fritos: You could be a winner! No purchase necessary. Details inside.

On some Swanson frozen dinners. Serving suggestion: Defrost.

On Tesco's Tiramisu dessert (printed on bottom of box): Do not turn upside down

On Marks&Spencer bread pudding: Product will be hot after heating.

On packaging for a Rowenta iron: Do not iron clothes on body.

On Nytol sleeping aid: Warning: May cause drowsiness.

I thought they were quite funny.

The sad things though some of these like the Iron one are really necessary ;D ;D ;D ;D

lol        seen many of them before

On the side of my prescription sleeping pills it says "drowsiness may occur"     Gee       I would hope so ::)

On a Banquet microwave dinner i had earlier...Will be hot after heating.        Really....If they didnt have this warning could i sue them if i burn myself:P

Im sure if i was to read some more labels i could find many more :-/   In this day in age apparently they need to treat us like we are stupid so we cant sue them for common sence mishaps ::)

lol, here's one that I've heard of before. This label is on a "special" type of thermometer: Once used rectally, do not use orally

"do not eat" on the little packets of drying agent that come with electronics. That always makes me laugh. Are they affraid we will think its complimentary candy that sony just threw in for buying a CD player?
