Don't worry; I'm sure NASA will find some way to get credit for it...... ::)

Governments are really good at taking credit when a civilian project goes well and for placing blame when it doesn't.  ::)

technically, he jumped from the STRATOSphere, so it's not space.

The Blackbird/LASRE experiment for instance. Lockheed built both, and mounted the LASRE on an SR-71 that just happened to have the NASA logo on it.
