Illegal Cutlery in the Kitchen....

What are you laughing at?

Illegal Cutlery in the Kitchen....

Postby Fozzer » Mon Jan 11, 2010 11:02 am

I must make a point of remembering to put my kitchen knife down whilst carving my Sunday Joint of Beef in my kitchen....

....and waving hello to my next-door neighbour....

....at the same time..... :o... :o...!

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/8451369.stm

I heard this story on my Radio yesterday, and thought to myself, as I do, regarding the British Police Force, and its Police Officers, (after the "G80 "debacle, etc, involving beating seven bells out of the general Public with assumed impunity)....

...yet another stupid statement, to make them appear even more ridiculous than they generally are, in their ability to infuriate the general Public...;)...!

They have the trained ability to regularly open their mouths and come out with the most stupid of statements regarding their interpretation of the Law, and its implications!

I used to tolerate them...at one time...but occasions such as this?..... ::)....

Banging on the window with scissors versus our Myleene being harmed? I'd definately go for the defensive action. If anyone leaves a scratch on our Myleene they've got it coming  ;D

You aren't allowed to defend yourself in your own home? That sounds like  ridiculous law to me.

What are the actual laws on house protection within in the UK?
Surely if they get in, you must have some form of defence.
I remember there was that story of where a man got put in jail for shooting a burglar.

Ontario is simalar. I suppose if someone burgles your home we heat up the teapot and help them pack our belongings?
We are not allowed to use video survailence unless we post clearly visable signs, and heaven help us if our intruder slips on ice and hurts himself.  :)

(I don't plan on going by the rules if the situation arises.)

I am firmly convinced that the Training that "Police Officers" go through at Police College, etc, is aimed at completely removing "common sense" regarding the "Law" (and anything else), from their robotic brains... ;)...!

Some of the ridiculous, incomprehensible, "stuff" that that comes out of their mouths during an operation, sometimes defies belief!

The various "Police Chase", etc, Videos on the TV, and the strange conversations carried out during the process, leaves me with the impression that they are destined to become the Robotic Cyborgs of the future.... ;)...!

Paul... ;)... ;)... ;)...!

...come back, Arnold, all is forgiven!... ::).... ;D....!

Nobody cares about the person who throws the first hit, they care about the person who retaliates. If someone breaks into your house and you attack (or rather, defend) then you'll probably get in more trouble than them. Special exceptions are sometimes made, but a farmer once shot someone who was breaking into their house and was put in prison for quite a while.

We need Alex Murphy to come along  8-)

That's just silly, I can understand getting into trouble if you shoot and kill an intruder but you should at least be able to use a baseball bat (or UK equivalent).

....that recalls an occasion, a few years ago, when Police were called to a disturbance out in the street where my Son lived with his family.
During the door-to door enquiries, upon calling at my Son's house, the visiting Police Officer noticed a Baseball Bat in the Hallway of his house.
Upon observing this, (as they do), the Police officer asked my Son; "Why is that Baseball Bat standing there?".
My Son answered, jokingly; "Its to deter any Burglar breaking into the house!".
Upon hearing this statement, the police Officer immediately and seriously warned my Son; "I could arrest you Sir, for making a statement like that!"

So there you go. That is the situation regarding Police Officers, and their interpretation of the Law in England, and probably in Great Britain!

If you thought Police Officers have a sense of humour...(apart from black humour) ....think again!...;)...!

A good come back from your son Fozzer would have been, "That would help you out with the clear up figures a little then". But that would have probably not helped the situation ;D
