Well people  Not sure of how this will go down but here goes,

Afew years ago I was listening in on the police frequencies, as you do , late one night. And was astonished to here this one come over the airwaves.

Traffic 54, on the M4 just past junction 19 westbound, have been overtaken by a Triumph Spitfire, who I have clocked at 115mph, am now heading onto the M5 north at Almonsbury and am running low on fuel, is anybody available to continue this chase.
Control to Traffic 54, Sorry no one is available for about 30 mins, please state your intentions.
Traffic 54, will have to pull into Michealwood Services and refuel, before I can carry out the rest of my shift.( you could here the thinking of  the officer concerned in the fact that this was one speeder that was going to get away with it). Avery short time passed and the radio came to life with a radio call,
Traffic54-Control  You are not going to believe this ,but as I am putting fuel into my car, the Spitfire has pulled up on the hard shoulder awaiting for me. I am rejoining the motorway now, still after this Spitfire, still heading north.

I heard three days later, that they managed to stop the Spitfire at junction 10 with the use of three police cars. Never did find out what sentance they recieved.
