A friend just sent me this. Not sure where to post it but I rather like it. (Read right to the bottom.)

I believe we had a similar incidence by someone from this area of the world, although not so grounded in it, while on a balcony. Seems that didn't go over too well.

Mothers in the wild will fight to the death to protect their offspring dating back to the dino's. I find that picture rather sad and depressing.
Funny post though.

Interesting how others see this. It was intended as a light-hearted poke at modern society which is the reason I posted it in the Humour section. I'm sure most people have seen mothers rather like this one. I have no doubt that she loves the child in her own way & would fight to the death to protect it.

We weren't replying in a humorless fassion. This is a rather inverted sense of humor thing. However, outside of some dire circumstance, I can't imagine carrying an infant like Achilles without the well. In my little bubble some woodchuck would have put a hole in my lawn when I wasn't looking and I'd slip my foot right at the edge of it. Yet it's true that it's near impossible to have 100% safety -- where'd that meteor come from -- and people still laugh at old Three Stooges skits.
Now, when I trip over the groundhog's hole, the baby flies out of my hand and I go head first into the stroller, feet kicking in the air. The baby flies into a sturdy old sappling, nearly bending it to the ground. Meanwhile, I've twisted and flipped free of the stroller but am somewhat dizzily looking for the baby in the wrong direction. The tree whips back and sends the baby right into the stroller with enough force to roll it right at me. Hit from behind, I now fall head first into the groundhog hole.
OK, that's the hole situation so far. There's humor in most everything for someone...
;)
