...so, St Peter is guarding the Pearly Gates of Heaven, but he's feeling a bit under the weather, so he calls up Jesus to ask for some time off...
"Sure," says Jesus, "You've been serving there faithfully for centuries, take all the time you need, I'll cover for you."
So Jesus heads out to the Pearly Gates. It's a slow day at the Gates, and Jesus is starting to get a bit bored when he sees a wee old man in the distance, hobbling up towards him...
"Good evening sir, how may I help you?" enquires Jesus.
"Well, I was wondering if I could get in to Heaven," replied the old man.
"Sure," says Jesus, "We'd love to have you. We do, however, have some ground rules. What have you done to deserve such an honour?"
"Well, I didn't really do anything with my life," says the old man, "but my son, now he was something special!"
"Hmmm, so what did your son do?" asks Jesus.
"Well, I was a simple carpenter," says the old man, "and I raised my dear son to be the same. But one day he left the trade and went on to do great things, he became known and loved the whole world over!!"
Jesus looks at the old man, tears welling up inside. He grabs him in an embrace yelling, "Father!!!"
The old man hugs back crying, "Pinocchio!!!"
