It reminds me of an actual event. We had two cats that realized that we turned the doorknob to open the door. We also had a Spaniel/Spitz mix dog that was rarely let inside after his first few months when a puppy. However, eventually we kept finding him -- and the cats -- inside the house when no one had been around to let them in. One day I came home from school to see the two cats trying turn the doorknob as the dog came up behind them. The cats moved out of the way and the dog then reached up with his front paws and, obviously having more stength than the cats, opened the door.
Who says different species can't mutually interact and teach one another? 8)
