They have a rice festival in Weiner, Arkansas?
By the way, the town's name came from a nearby train station that was named for a St. Louis railroad official -- who was a real Weiner (I've found no record of this but he may have moved to Ding Dong, Texas)...
which brings us to a place whose town name signs, for some reason, are very often stolen: Intercourse, Pennsylvania.8-)
Wiener, Arkansas is a real town about eighty-five miles west of Memphis Tn. And Arkansas is the rice capitol of the USA. I know this because in the mid 1980's I went there
on several weekends to help a fellow NATTC Memphis staff member (FYI...NATTC = Naval Air Technical Training Center) work on a TBM Avenger owned by the gent who owned the
local John Deere dealership. If I recall correctly his name was Tom Swafford and he was a TBM turret gunner during WW2. He's the one who told me about the rice crop. I called his aircraft "Fish hook 32" because of the markings. I have some photos around here some place. I'll post them when I find them.
Paul, you would have liked the trip. I rode my 1982 Honda CB650 there and back. It was quite a nice ride past the rice fields.

An Aircraft Mechanic only needs two tools, Duct Tape and WD40.
If it moves and it's not supposed to - use the Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and it's supposed to - use the WD40.
