OMG! So funny because it's true very often. Having worked in an automitve garage, the daftness of some female customers was unbelievable!
Even my own wife needed lessons on basic car care when we first met. She wanted to check her own oil, but did not know where to put it into the engine. So she topped off every cap she could open with the engine oil. It went in the power steering, the washer fluid resevoir, the power brake reservoir, and the radiator...
What fun weekend after that spending my time under the car flushing all the systems...
It boggles my mind how a person can get a licence to drive a vehical without getting basic training on systems and maintenance. They don't even teach how to change a tire in drivers education as far as I know.
