It's a funny old world, maybe if the press spent more time on stories like this the world would be a better place....

No wanting to get political, but it is the politicians and the news papers that have all the hate and vitriol, not the man on the ground. After all both were doing a job that they had been sent to do by the politicians of there respective country egged on by the papers. They had signed on the dotted and did not really have a choice in the matter. Why should then not find peace with each other at the end of it. I am Brit married to a German, living in Germany, but if you subscribe to the UK tabloid press you would not me wrong for thinking that WWII never ended................. ::)

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

Sadly true Matt, I mean I lived behind what was the Iron Curtain. Certainly changed some of my views on people in Communist countries from the time of the Cold War.
Alas I think too many people believe what the papers and television tell them rather than trying to find out for themselves. I've got a few family members with minds so narrow they could look through a keyhole with both eyes simultaneously.
