I need your input

I just bought a new computer (still waiting for it to be delivered) and I'm wanting to get back into Flight Simulation. But, I don't want to install and then uninstall (as we know, not all files are removed).
Based on system requirements (I couldn't find actual requirements for FlightGear, if anyone knows where I can find them, please share), they all seem about equal.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

For the most complete experience I tend to lean towards FSX or even 9. FSX can be a bit of a biotch but so can every thing else we love like wives, kids and cars. At least there are free addons that enhance FSX and FS9, not so with wives, kids or cars. 8-)

I love how it's a complete tie between X-plane and Flightgear 8-)

I've gone over to X-Plane and love it, that said I also have FlightGear on a couple of my PCs and love that too.
Try FlightGear, not only is it free but its just back to the basics of flying fun. Stick 'n rudder stuff. I think I've got about 5 times as many hours on FlightGear as I do on FSX! Also on any half decent rig it'll run maxed out!
