My advice? Don't rely on an internet browser to keep you safe. It will not. The problem will always exist between the chair and the keyboard... Even if a browser says "no" to visiting a particularly risky site, you bet people have managed to get onto it and then been infected with something.


That's why I run 5 different protective programs in the background at all times - If I miss something, they will catch it and they will protect my computer. They seem to be doing a great job though... I've had them stopping attacks from tricky malware plenty of times. To me, it doesn't matter which browser you use, but I use Firefox with addons to help further block troublesome website elements.

Look at the date on that story. Old and out-of-date. Internet Explorer has received multiple security updates and patches since 2010. At the university where I work, I estimate that IE is used by over 90 percent of users, and with no major problems. Machineman is right. The biggest security risk is the human, the computer operator who will open email from unknown sources or click on unknown url links.

For example there was a report recently for the andromeda galaxy crashing into the milky way in bilions of year,they said that it was a new discovery while it has been known for several years...

Unless it's a plot against Microsoft by the German government this is an ongoing problem.
