Caught in the act.....

Postby ozzy72 » Tue Jul 24, 2012 1:21 pm

Ohh dear, Mrs. Ozzy came downstairs at 11pm last night to find out what I was still doing up or if I was fast asleep in my armchair.
However I was nailed doing something far far worse.... building a little something for my son (a gift from a friend, alas Mega Bloks don't do a Spitfire) http://www.amazon.co.uk/mega-bloks-prob ... B00005CFB0
Talk about being caught red-handed re-living your childhood :-[ :-[ :-[

Nothing wrong with a P-51 Mustang; I was always partial to the F4U Corsair.

Nice Mark 8-)

Just one question, how big is it and how many parts. I am thinking of my youngest.

Wing span and fuselage length around 1 1/2 feet or so. It looks really good (I'm nearly finished, fell asleep last night rather than getting on with it).
It isn't that complicated to make as long as you've not had a 6-pack before commencing work ;)

Well Alex as we all know the Spitfire is THE best. Anything else is a little bit camp...

You have to remember Steve that it was the Brits that made the Mustang any good. ;)

I know that a mustang is pretty much a spitfire with red lipstick on and a breast enhancement!  8-)

Have you seen Angelina Jolie lately :P
And Doug, he's only two. My friend just had a moment. So I'm building it so he can play with it.
Might have to liberate the vast quantities of my old Lego from Mums for the kids. I'd forgotten how much fun it can be ;D ;D ;D

Try building the Star Wars Imperial Star Destroyer (the triangular one), it took me in total 14 hours to build. I almost ate a 9mm........ ;D
