I'm racking my brain to find any real value in a law like this.  ::) Personally, I already know when I've had a drink.

If you do not want to part with any cash, then concider the following;

You also required to have in your car, again, "in your car", not the boot, that is not in your car a florescent vest for every occupant. To be safe, it is recommended that you have a vest per seat regardless. Remember, the boot is not classed as in the car. Failure to abide by this will cost you
"A bit of a pickle" - British translation: A catastrophically bad situation with potentially fatal consequences.

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

Ridiculous laws. They clearly exist to get as much money out of people as possible. The breathalyser one is particularly dangerous - It goes against the norm of '0.0 is the only safe limit' by allowing drivers to accurately see how much alcohol is in their system.

You might be legally able to drive, but that doesn't make it safe. I fear lives are more at risk - Before, if you'd be drinking you would have to take a taxi or sleep it off to have certainty over your state. Now though, you can see when you pass that magical line and believe that you can operate a vehicle.
