...is FREE Blueberry pancakes!

Took my little girl to Steak & Shake for breakfast with just her daddy today and she ordered Blueberry pancakes while I had a skillet meal with eggs over easy.  My meal got there and when I poked one of the eggs, it exploded with 'runniness'  Seriously, over easy means the yolks are runny, not the eggs themselves, people!

I complained, they brought out another and this time the yolks were rock hard!  Complained again, and this time the manager came out, I explained and she comped us the entire meal, which was cool so I left the waitress a big tip...   ;)  Meanwhile, my 10 year old daughter is sitting there embarrassed because I had the nerve to complain about my food.

Why is it so hard for people to get eggs over-easy right?  It's very simple.  The yolks are runny, the whites are not!

So free breakfast...  :)

A fond memory of my US Air Force days: eggs always cooked to order, every day, at March Air Force Base. I preferred mine sunny-side up. The 22nd Bomb Wing (B-52Ds/KC-135s) was lucky enough to have had a chef from New Orleans as the Master Sargeant chief cook, and he trained his kitchen staff well. We ate great chow.

I too remember the great chow i had while stationed in Charelston AFB with the 437th AW. I was a jet engine mechanic on the 141s we had there then after about 2 months transistioned to installing QEC kits on the new C-17 engines as our base was the first operational squadron for them. Then I moved to the graves shift and did hot jobs all night on the flight line. Damn the food was good! even the boxed stuff they would bring to us out on the line. I'm hungry now....the wife and I are off to forage :D ;D

Pat and I went out for breakfast when we were in Toronto last year. We walked in after reading about a Bacon, eggs and hash browns special in the window. Very small place but clean looking. When I ordered the special we were told they were out of eggs. Okay then we'll have the BLT with coffee. Now I've had BLTs all over the continent and never tasted anything like this one. We paid the bill and left our full plates behind. That's how I roll.. I can't complain unless it involves a lot of money.  :P

I always order 'Over Medium' at restaurants because that seems to be 'Over Easy' to them.  Whites fully cooked with runny yolks

I wanted to complain, when I was over in IRAQ in 2003/2004 in the heart of the Blood Zone - problem was , wasn't hardly anybody to complain to, that didn't want to complain too about the food, and since we hadn't eatin for a week, I really didn't care what it was as long as it was edible at that time. I just have to Rember this most important thing - very very very important - don't get the MRE's mixed up with the IED's and the RPG's , very important all those abbreviations got me confused when those soldiers sent me across the way to the PX, to get a Box load ,,,, Now, you all should of been there when I went marchin in and demanded a big ol' Box load of RPG's & IED's ,,, you could of heard a frickin needle drop it got Deathly quiet really quick, and these really really super Strange looking stares towards me too,,,,,,,,, OK, so Dumb ass here got my Alphabet little bit mixed up,,,but in the End,, I got what they sent me for - 6 frickin boxes of em' too,,, MRE's ,, or was it RID's , Dir's,,, ???? it was stuff you eat, those thingys !!!!! ;D ;D :D :D ::) ::) ::) ::)
