I've tried to postulate on what is the most iconic aircraft of all time, and I keep coming back to the 172.  What would you say Doug, is the 172 or 150/152 more 'iconic'.

To me, the 172 has always defined what an airplane is, instantly recognizable by anyone and everyone as an airplane, and probably the first image that comes to people's minds when you say 'small plane'

Well now that does pose an interesting question.

I think that depends on several things.

Reminiscing is by definition "back".

It reminded me of those television commercials (depending on where you live) for "Education for the Future".  Well, duh.  Isn't all education "for the future"?  I'd pay for education for the past - to undo every stupid thing I ever did.  But it would be too expensive.

Hi Jim... :)
Thanks for the comment... :)

It kind of reminds me of when folks say:

"If I knew then what I know now, things would be different"...but would they have had as much fun... ;D

The little Rheims Cessna 150 Aerobat...

My all-time favourite aircraft!... :-*...!

Its the second aircraft I flew (P2) more recently, after I flew the military Auster Aiglet Spotter Aircraft, many years ago, in the British Army.

My little Flight Sim Cessna 150 clocks up more daily flying hours than any other aircraft in my Hangar for the past 14 years!

Its my little baby...Miss reliable!

...she's even got my own registration markings!

Paul...have 150...will travel!... 8-)...!

With my small stature: 5' 7"...and 154 Lbs...she has a good turn of speed, with her Continental engine, (to beat a C172!).

Awesome shot Paul...wonderful... :)

Now that is FS2004 correct?

Thinking about downloading a Cessna 150 for FSX to use.

Also tried to find a Cessna 172 Freeware on Floats for FSX but they all seem to be Payware.

Lots of excellent Cessna 150/152's in FS 2002 and FS 2004 Doug...

All my shots are using FS 2004....big choice of everything!

Paul... 8-)...!

The nice thing about FS 2004 is that most of the "objects" are backwardly compatible....and...FREE!

Hi Paul... :)

I have always had a problem with downloading an aircraft from FS2004 that is supposed to work in FSX.

Most times something does not work so I gave that idea up.

The way I understand it, FSX and anything prior to that will not work in the new MS Flight.

Guess we shall have to wait and see.

Will have to do a search to see if there is a C150 that will work in FSX.

Doug...

Whenever I want something for the Flight Sims, I just type into the Google Search Engine, for example:

FS2004. Cessna 150.

If you want addons for Flight you will have to pay for them via the Windows Live website.

I don't know of a freeware C150 but have you tried the free Just Flight C152 here? --> http://www.justflight.com/microsoftc152.asp
