Irene...boredom fighting!!!!

I've officially decided that I hate "hurricanes"...
I've run out of flights to fly...
I'm only 4 hours into getting "hit" by Irene-and bored to tears...
We might have 15 kts max of winds, and its reminding me of April showers...
So that means that there's nothing to mess around in...
No trees to pull off roads...
No lashings to tie...
I'm even writing this...
With all these...
I could keep going...
But for the sake of you guys...
I'll stop... ;D

THIS STINKS!!!!!!!!!!

I have just spoken to my cousin in North Carolina, she is passing the time playing "drink along with Irene". Each time the wind hows or a bit of rain lashes the window, she takes a nice sip of red wine.  ;D ;D

I found a site earlier that I did not know existed. It does not have any hurricane/tropical storm tracking for 2011 yet, but it will give you current weather for your area.

It also will give you the tracks for all hurricanes and tropical storms in a give year and the map is interactive. I found it pretty interesting. Between that site and Wikipedia,

I found out that Katrina was a much larger storm than Camille, but Camille is ranked #2 in intensity based solely on central pressure. Camille was stronger, but Katrina

was larger and maintained intensity longer. But I survived both. Anyway, here is the link if you are interested.

For all of you who are bored, I have two PERFECT FS remedys for this.

1.  Do a tour of the US in one of the default boeings, visiting the biggest airport in each state.

2.http://www.simtours.net/tours.php
that place has lots of fun places to fly!

Hope these will keep you guys busy for a while to come! ;)

This is what we've been expecting...
and it won't face a full landwall until NY/Connecticut. We're expecting a drastic drop in force but, still, weaker trees and branches in NH could take beating (a threat to power lines); with our already saturated soil, I may be wading in an expanded lake while still inside my domicile.
It should die out when reaching us. When reaching our border, maybe it will realize it's demise having left the sea and turn around to see what it's missed. [Just joking -- we don't want it but those of you south of us don't need to be revisited].

You could go over to the marina and 'borrow' a boat 'til ebb tide. ::)

Why spend the effort -- just wait until one of the cruisers comes floating by; tell them I just floated out into the lake when the water receded and couldn't get it back to them until I'd figured out how to operate it.

I hope Rom is okay.
I'm the sort of person that'd get some tent pegs and put myself in the garden looking for that ultimate blow job....
But you have to remember that 5 years in the military has left me one very sick puppy ;D ;D ;D

Same here.  Be terrible for a hard core warrior like him to get wiped out by a big rainstorm.  :-/
