Glad to be alive!

Postby Steve M » Mon Aug 01, 2011 2:35 pm

Well July turned out to be a hell of a month in our house. So I'm glad my besty (Patty) seems to be surviving breast cancer. My hat is off to the special surgeons and staff! Now while she was at home recovering my face started swelling up. I had three infected teeth and the swelling surrounded one of my eye sockets. So I am really happy just to be alive and wanted to say it!

Good to know you're still in the land of the living Steve ;)
Glad to hear that things seem to be on the up.

Thanks Ozzy! Things are improving. I mean this post to be a positive thing. Just when we think we are down, we can "rise from the ashes" :)

Great, I'm happy for you :). This just shows nothing Happens forever ;). And I do mean nothing.
Most people think that flying a plane is dangerous, except pilots because they know how easy it is.
Arguing with a pilot is like wrestling with a pig in the mud, after a while you begin to think the pig likes it.

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Life goes on. And thankfully that would include your life.

Speaking of being glad to be alive, has anyone other than me been in a car that had the front end completely taken off by a van only to be slammed into by a full sized school bus about three seconds later?

Hmm, checking my files.. wait.. nope! I was T boned by an 18 wheeler that knocked my engine 300 yards from the scene. In 1970 the transport (Semi) cut my 68 Chrysler New Yorker in half!  :o I hope you weren't hurt because those chain reaction accidents can be deadly. If your on a busy highway, sometimes the best thing you can do is stay in your car and leave your seatbelts fastened.
