Substitute for the Mach Loop

If you want to have some fun, choose an agile aircraft that you can keep at or below below 160 knots, but above 130.

I do not recommend you try this if you don't have a twist stick or pedals and are using auto rudder.

Depart Spangdahlem AB Germany and fly SSE to Schweich. Drop down over the Moselle River heading north. Try to stay around 100' AGL and 140-150 knots.

Follow the river all the way to Koblenz where it enters the Rhine. There are only one or two bridges high enough to fly under so beware. Also, at that altitude and speed, in those curves,

you will be on top of one before you know it. Try to keep out of the trees, houses, and water and off the cliff.

Sounds like fun. Now try the same thing with a faster aircraft in the Grand Canyon. :D

I do the Grand Canyon in a Learjet but I call it Zaxxon.

Whether you recognize this term probably depends on your age.

Well children you'll take a long time to be your Uncle Ozzy inverted in an An-225 up there ;)
