..just had a peek at my Weather Station in my back garden...

The atmospheric pressure is presently reading 970 millibars...
..the very lowest reading on the Gauge...

...!

The lowest I have ever seen it!

Pressure = 970
Temp = 9*C.
Humidity = 65%

Does this mean the End of the World is nigh...
..or a Tornado is on its way to Hereford?...

Maybe.... it means your gauge is broken. ::)

I don't know how to convert inches to millibars but the Weather Channel shows 28.56 inches and falling, 41*F, 87% humidity, and wind from ESE @ 12 mph for Shobdon.
Oh yeah, and it's raining.

For my neck of the woods:
32*F and clear
81% humidity
30.24 inches pressure
wind calm

I've just taken it indoors and partly dismantled it, and the needle doesn't seem to be firmly attached to the bellows/gearing...

...!

The trouble is...weather stations are installed outside in all weathers....
..whether we like it, or not!...

That 28.56 doesn't match the current chart. No bullseye lows in sight - just the usual north-south swath of liquid sunshine from John O'Groats to the English Channel.

I think I've got my outside Pressure Gauge working again....
..re-calibrated it against my accurate Indoor Barometer.
Reading 29.4". 950 mB....very slowly rising.

9AM. Wednesday 10th November.
Clear blue Sky.
Slight Northerly breeze.
OAT= 21* C
Humidity= 75%

Feeling a bit nippy!
(Wearing my ankle Sock)...
