Bear cub survives 10 days with jar on head

The bear cub had to be hungry and thirsty.

For 10 days, it had been wandering a forest community with a plastic jar firmly lodged on its head, an apparent memento from an excursion through someone's garbage.

The ending to the cub's story could have been a sad one, if not for the determination of area residents and state wildlife biologists.

Wow, nice save on the part of the biologists. Not everyone would be willing to tackle a bear, even a cub.

I once helped out a wild gosling (baby goose) that was stuck in some fishing line, I like to think that I did a good thing.
