All I had to do was send a check in the mail. They mailed my DL back to me. Beats the heck out of standing in line.

Unless it's taken away for some reason my driving licence is valid until my 70th birthday. After that I will have to apply to renew it every 3 years.

PS. I just realised that the photo on my licence has to be renewed every 10 years. I wonder how many British drivers know that. http://www.yourdrivinglicence.co.uk/renewing-your-photo-driving-licence-every-10-years.html

I'm into my second "Photograph" Driving Licence renewal now, every three years...
Age 70...73...76.... ;)...!

I still use my "70 year-old Photo" on my Licences...makes me look like I'm 16 years old again... :-*.... ;D....!

I just have to confirm to the Agency that I still have a complete set of Marbles each time I renew my Drivers Licence... ;)...!

...I've convinced them so far... ;)... ;)...!

(Previously our Driving Licences were just a sheet of paper, no photo, lasting until we reached either 70 years of age...or Death...whichever came sooner!).

Paul...60 years Driving, Cars/Motorbikes....clean Licence!.... 8-)...!

Strange -- we don't act that old.

I just have to confirm to the Agency that I still have a complete set of Marbles each time I renew my Drivers Licence...
How does one accomplish that -- a rattle of the head? :D

....clean Licence!
Mine, too: forgot the wallet in my trouser pocket when it went through the wash (good thing they laminate it*). :-[

New Hampshire requires an in-person renewal appointment every four years so they can take a new, very unprofessional photo of you -- then they mail the license so that it can get lost in the mail while you change addresses during the two weeks it's floating around.

* The license, although trouser lamination would sometimes be useful.

8-)
