Multi-tasking

[color=#000000]I was never very good at multi-tasking, but what I'm doing right now would have caused my old computer to crash and burn. I'm flying my C185 north along the California/Nevada border, headed for Oregon, keeping up with my location via FSWidgets map on my second monitor, listening to Marshall Tucker Band on iTunes, and browsing SimV. On my old box, I could not even fly and listen to music at the same time. I love technology.

[color=#000000]I appreciate the offer, but I've never flown online, don't even know how. And considering the speed and inconsistancy of my internet, I don't think I can, at least not very well. I looked at some of the stuff on it the other day, and it seems a little complicated to me. I think I already have enough irons in the fire.

Ah this is flying on the Simviation server, so its not complicated like that air traffic crap. Ive looked into that before and flew in it before, I left because I didnt know what I was doing  ;D

Everyones just talking in the little chat box though and then flying. You can give it a shot, its very easy to sign in and you can do it in the middle of your flight with no problems if you wish.  ;)

I am very good at multi-tasking when I get up each morning....

I can fill the kettle with water, plug it in, empty the Tea pot, pop a tea-bag in, find a cup, insert a couple of sweetners into it, and pour some milk into it, pour the boiling water into the Tea-pot, let it stand for 3 minutes, pour the tea into the cup, sip, it.......

...all whilst washing my face, cleaning my teeth, and having a shave..... :)...!

...and hoping I don't get things processed in the wrong order... >:(...!

Paul....presently Multitasking, and stirring the Tea with my Tooth Brush.....buggar!.... :-[....!

That's the reason men are no good at multi-tasking. As I'm always telling my daughter, I do one thing at a time & get it right first time. :P

I sometimes find it quite amazing how many different operations I can carry out at the same time, without being conscious of it, especially if time is of the essence!

I think to myself; "Blimey. Did I do all that at once!"... :o...!

"There's a clever Lad!"

(Preparing and cooking a complicated meal is a classic example)... ;)...!

Paul.... ;D... ;D... ;D...!

P.S....and driving a motor vehicle, when you come to think about it!

Multitasking. I do it all day long. Breathe in and blink eyes... Breathe out and blink eyes... Over and over again.

Carlo ;) (so much to do at once...)

Goodly morning all... :)

Multi-tasking....hmmmm.... :-/

Ok Larry...every morning I do this just for the old girl...
-tap dance out a little jig
-while whistling a tune
-give her a couple of quick winks while still doing the above
-all the while smiling and clapping my hands

If that is considered Multi-tasking...why I have been doing it for years and did not know it.... ;D

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug
P.S. However I do know a few aviators who can't chew gum and walk.... ;D

[color=#000000]This is what I love about SimV. You never know what direction a thread is going to take.

I've oft wondered how someone does something 'right the first time' if there are no subsequent wrong times. :-/ :)

They can chew their gums all they want as long as they don't take a long walk while they're flying... ;)
