Thanks American Chum

Some time back, Andy (Subzer0) encouraged me to try a Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwhich, PB&J against my wishes. So in return I made him hunt down and try Vegemite on a sandwhich, which he seemed to enjoy. Well I would love to thank you Ando for opening my eyes to the brilliance of PB&J. Absolutely craving these things every night, you Americans sure have good taste. :)

For any Aussie's confused by this, Jelly=Jam. ;)

I'm sure Fozzer will have an opinion on this, just give it awhile. ;D

Salmon and Cucumber bread (finger) roll.

Yummy!

Very refreshing.

Paul.... ;)....!

I'm not struck on Peanut Butter, but a Strawberry Jam or  Blackcurrant  Jam sandwich, with real butter, is very nice for Afternoon Tea... :-*...!

Now that Summer is finally here, rather than knocking up a simple Salad Sandwich, I go to the trouble of making a full-blown Salad on a plate, for Tea:

Lettuce.
Tomatoes.
Cucumber.
Spring Onions.
Radishes.
Cheese.
Sliced Ham or Pork pie.
Hard boiled Egg.
Olive Oil.
Heinz Original (proper) Salad Cream.
Bread and real Butter.

...and a nice cup of Tetley Tea!.... :)... Image

...much nicer that "just" a Tomato Sandwich!

Paul....Rabbit Food!... ;D...!

You want sheer indulgence? Get a banana, mash it up with a fork using a little sugar. Butter two slices of bread, spread one with Marmite (not that veggy Vegemite stuff!) and then spread the banana mixture on the other one (as thickly as possible), put the two together and enjoy! Squelchy but gorgeous! Talk about sweet and sour...

That sounds disgusting. Makes me feel ill just to think about it. Image

You might have guessed that I hate Marmite with a vengeance. :P

My favorite PB&J: extra-crunchy PB and raspberry preserves on toast. The breakfast of the gods...  ;D

And here's something new I tried recently: peanut butter spread on a thin slice of green apple, with granola on top. Wow!!  :)

No problem Mitch! I'm happy you actually tried it!

Vegemite for the win though! Still eating it almost every day ;)

Actually, jelly comes from fruit juice and jam comes from the fruit itself.
