And I was up, I'm not working but my body insisted it was time to get up.... so what to do?

Well there was only one option after I'd checked my emails and been on SimV, assemble the slot car set a friend gave us a few weeks ago for Mini-mod. Emi and I have been racing for the last hour and a half and laughing ourselves silly.

Who needs CBBC when you can have Scalextric? Now I'm off to ebay for some more cars and track... I feel a Saturday afternoon in the sun racing and drinking beer with the lads coming on 8-) 8-) 8-) Emi insists she'll need a Mini Cooper for this (old style, as she recently watched the Italian Job with daddy and loved it).

Kids, yes they can be a royal pain in the bum sometimes, but they really can make your world magical all over again 8-)

Oh and if anyone has any Scalextric they don't want drop me a line.... I can give it a VERY good home.

That said we might have to move the track out of the office as I can only see odd bits of carpet
