Good evening all... :)

Yes I am in a little pain but the beer and Drambuie is starting to numb the old grey matter a little.

It sure has not taken the sharpness out of the old girls tongue though.... :P

:) A couple of Tylenol 3's? Goodnight Doug! Those fingernail injuries can really hurt, right away, and for quite a while.  :)

Don't drink Drambuie.  It was Bonnie Prince Charlie's favorite and look what happened to him :D.

That injury sounds nasty Doug. I know you're a tough old cookie but please be careful. You need all those fingers. ;)

Thanks Doug... :)

The swelling has gone down in the middle finger however the nail is gone completely.  The other finger is the one I lost the complete nail when Bjorn (remember him) was here.
That nail is gone completely too.
My right shoulder is black and blue but not as sore as my hand.   :)

I am well taken care of, the old girl and I have one of the best medical kits at home, in the boat, the aircraft and vehicles you can get.  They like the fire extinguishers are updated yearly.
If anyone want to look at a good medical kit the Red Cross puts out several good one's, they are for home and travelling.   Remember you only get what you pay for.   :)

With as many children we have not including grandchildren and great grandchildren a good medical kit is a must.
Our girls were tomboys if you know what I mean, soccer, martial arts, music and skating lessons they were as active as our son's who probably should have been taken out behind the barn a few more times than they were.   ;D
Scrapes and broken bones were all part of growing up I guess.   :)

Now me, I can't sit still, why I didn't little the younger fellas go is beyond me.  The old girl says I have the attitude that nobody knows how to do something but me... :P    :-X

That pig is going to taste good later but I already see a problem, the bugs are out and in swarms.  A little early this year.
The ducks and geese are flying north in larger than usual flocks and I believe they are early as well.

Thanks for the concern everyone...I shall live to be a hundred or if Microsoft makes a new flight simulator and operating system that works really well together I shall probably drop dead from shock.   ;D    ::)

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug
P.S. why is it when you hurt a finger(s) they are always the one's you bump something into first.... ::)

Fried tomatoes with onions, green and red peppers, celery a few spices and lots of crisp bacon.

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

[color=#000000]Dang Doug, you are making me hungry. ;D
I have not had fried tomatoes in years. The only thing I can think of I would rather have right now, is some really good tomato gravy and biscuits or some of my Mom's chili and Mexican cornbread. Yum.

Good evening all... :)

Home...sore...tired and full...so we had a great day... ;)

Your mom's selection sounds great Larry...no big hurry as I know you are busy but e-mail those recipes to me and I shall give them to the old girl who would like to try them...she loves doing that sort of thing... ;)

Like I said you are busy now but someday when you get a chance... :)

Well the afternoon was good, the old girl was there three hours ahead of me and said I missed a lot but we will make up for it next year.

My hand has swollen now and going yellow, black and blue.  I know nothing is broken but the salt and hot water is not working.

Dang thing is I will have to listen to him and the old girl give me a tongue lashing.   ::)    :P     :-X

Sorry to read of your demise. I ripped the fore of my right index finger's fingernail off the same morning of the day your event took place; nothing as bad as yours since barely into the front of the finger and, basically, but a little blood from an oversized hangnail.
Towards the end of the last millenia, however, I guillotined the toes of my right foot with the three-foot drop of the back an oak pew (crushed cheap steel toes can be as bad as none)... bloody and even the toenails did not quite grow back properly. I wish I could say I feel for you but, even though I've had worse pain, I'd rather not feel it at all, even in memory.
Hope this heals well for you with no more complications.

Heck, yes... you never know when you might have to flip someone a "double bird"!  ;D
Get well soon... I'd have posted sooner about this, but it hurt just to click on the topic.  :-/   ;D

To quote Woody Allen:
"I'm not like other people... pain hurts me."  ;D
