How about some Reagan jokes.

Reporter: In talking about the recession tonight, you have blamed mistakes of the past and you have blamed the Congress. Does any of the blame lie with you?
Reagan: Yes, because for many years I was a Democrat.

Reagan: "My fellow Americans. I'm pleased to announce that I've signed legislation outlawing the Soviet Union. We begin bombing in five minutes." -joking during a mike check before his Saturday radio broadcast

"I hope you're all Republicans." -speaking to surgeons as he entered the operating room following a 1981 assassination attempt

"I have left orders to be awakened at any time in case of national emergency -- even if I'm in a Cabinet meeting."

Baseball great Yogi Berra came up with some profound oddities during his career, here's a few, google him up for more:

"You've got to be very careful if you don't know where you're going, because you might not get there."

"A nickel isn't worth a dime today."

"If you come to a fork in the road, take it."

"This is like deja vu all over again."

"I never blame myself when I'm not hitting. I just blame the bat, and if it keeps up, I change bats. After all, if I know it isn't my fault that I'm not hitting, how can I get mad at myself?"

And of course:

"It ain't over till it's over."
