Now this is a great idea. I hope they take off and they produce these for the European market!

This is a good idea.  I wonder if they can be adapted by a compentent wiring person to be a fully functional USB port?

Would be nice to put the printer on a distant stand and simply plug in both the power AND USB cords.  How about a combined USB and power cord?  Logical next step?

Wow, that is cool...

I got excited when my phone came with a plug in USB charger, but this is so much better  8-)

It's a pretty good idea, but it would only free up one USB slot I use - I made a USB fan for my Xbox 360, which is powered by the console, so I could plug that into this USB wall socket, but I am fine with it in my computer.

I also charge everything off normal chargers anyway.

However, if they were able to network a house with these, then it would be very useful indeed. I have a wall socket by my bed, but the computer is in another corner. Imagine just plugging in your keyboard into the socket and taking control like that. Or, remote viewing of webcams, streaming items between computers, watching tv through USB, etc.

It could be the start of something great.
