A Friendly Reminder to Our Members!!

Greetings all, and Happy New Year!!!! After a brief sweep through the forums, it has been noted that several members have signature images that are exceeding the size limit. I just wanted to remind you that the size limit for signature images is 30k.
The moderating team asks that you check your signature and make sure you are within regulations. Again this is regulated to ensure that members with slower internet connections are able to enjoy the site without waiting for large images to load up, especially if someone who has a 72k signature has replied 10 times to a single thread.
If your signature is over 30k, please change it before Friday, Jan 9th, or we will help you out with a preselected signature that is within the limits of our guidelines.
And as an additional reminder, avatars are to be under 10k, images and screensots are to be under 150k each, and one thread should not exceed 600k.
Thanks for your cooperation, we value every member here at SimV, and we must all work together to help keep the site running smooth for everyone.

I must admit, that a while ago, when I had the ability to re-post a file with the same name, I used to silently "fix" any offenses of file sizing, it was never done maliciously or noticably......hell, even Mark hasn't

What about my XBOX gamertag?
Let's see, your Blue Angels picture is 70kb, and the other image in your signature which is a linked image is 31kb, totaling to just over a 100kb. So both pics are really out of regs...

So my picture is 70kb and my xbox gamertag is 31kb right? So now I have to make 100kb into 30kb
Well there goes my gamertag and a high quality pic
Why are we doing this to free up space ?
