Infinity is an Open-Source space game in development since... a while. Can't say if it'll work out in the end, but they definitely created some impressive sork so far, including many awesome screenshots & artwork. Go check it out!

Site of german origin, but you should find your way around. Many of the game related Images are Sci-Fi or Fantasy themed, and not all are obtainable in HQ for unregistered guests, but I dug out some nice wallpapers nevertheless. (If you encounter nags or restricions, use Firefox, block cookies and peek into the HTML source code, always helps on many sites)
