looks like it IS on the crawler, but not yet at the launch pad though, otherwise it would have the Gantry tower by it and it would be hooked up to the umbilicals for temporary power and air conditioning and such.     GREAT SHOT none-the-less!

I really need to take the time to drive the 3 hours to see one of these before NASA shuts down the program.

1:30 am would be great.

Except that there are always weather delays.

Drive 3 hours, sorry, not today, come back tomorrow.

For me, the shot of the Lightning making its tortuous passage to the ground..(or the other way!), is fascinating!

...and the journey from top to bottom, (or bottom to top), is made in a split second!

Wowzers... :o...!

Some of that, to take the load off my Electric Light Bill, would be nice!... :-*...!

My back yard is in Boca Raton, about 180 miles away.

I can't see the daytime launches but the night launches look like a meteor in reverse.

These things move incredibly fast, not like on TV where they plod along for several seconds - by the time they reach an altitude where I can see them they streak across the sky in a few seconds.
