Latest:
There is a good chance at the moment that all the Mount Wilson Radio and Television Transmission Towers serving the whole of Los Angeles may be consumed by the fire!

...and the Mount Wilson Observatory is still in danger.

Paul.

Hazy, smoky, hot, a bit humid in some parts, and sneezing.

They are using volcano terminology to describe the cloud of smoke and ash over SOCAL. :o

.... ;)...!

I am fascinated with California, and the North American Pacific Coast, mainly due to its interesting, and highly accurate scenery depicted in all the MS Flight Simulators from FS '98.
I have, for the past 10-15 years, daily toured the whole of the area, at low level, in the various Simulators since Flight Unlimited II.
I closely study my various Relief Maps of the State, and obtain details of the Geography, Geology, History, and Population, and daily News broadcasts...;)..!
I listen to breaking news every day, and then travel to the area affected, in my Flight Sim Aircraft.
I follow all the Wild Fire and Earthquake activities as they (frequently) occur, and my intimate familiarity with the State makes it very easy!...;)...!
Would you believe that I am more familiar with the Geography and Geology of the State of California than I am with my country of Great Britain!... :o.... ;)....!
If ever you fancy a Tour of California, just contact Fozzer's Famous Caltours Inc. and book a Flight... :-*...!

(No Dogs, or small Children allowed).

Paul...G-BPLF..FS 2004...a Beech Baron 58...and a Map of SOCAL.... ;)...!

The Term "Bushfires" was rejected, as indicating that a certain U.S. President may have started them*...

I think we should start an insurance company and sell Fire, Flood, & Hurricane insurance.

It seems like people will fall over themselves to live in areas where their homes will be destroyed on a near regular basis. :-?

Paul's California tours, are an experience not to be missed.  8-)
