I like the second pic, it is bigger than destoryer (or cruiser?) to the left of it.

Had a missle defense system.. "submarine, which doubles as an escape pod..". I am sure there are many features not listed in the article.

I'd think he could afford a shave.

I curse Miami Vice for popularizing the "three day shadow".

Hmm, where is the CIWS system? ::) Maybe that's it sticking off the side. Compare this to an Ticonderoga (Aegis) class cruiser, which is only 10 feet longer, but probably a lighter displacement.

I read "missile detection system", not CIWS or missile avoidance system.

I'm sure it sounded good when the salesman presented it: "For only $1 million I'll throw in a state of the art missile detection system!"

What's the point of a missile detection system, if you have no way of stopping it? I guess that's what the sub is for.

Apparently Russian Politics can be fatal.
His other toys include his 3 or 4 other boats.

As for lighter than a Ticonderoga class.. probably, but by how much. That article mentions a belt of armor around the passenger cabins
This thing is a step short of a warship.

And when he gets it delivered, yeah, it might not have guns, but I would guess someone this rich and powerful, and slightly egotistical, won't have guns on it?

He must have sold a LOT of "plastic ducks" to become so rich! :)

Or, maybe the "plastic ducks" were filled with drugs?  ;)
