Hi All....a topical subject..Easter Eggs...not the choccy type but the ones you find in software.....lot's of cool ones but to my mind the one I like is the one in Google Earth......Did you all know that there are some 3,300 aircraft in flight in Google Earth....including this World War II bomber (Google Earth coordinates 52.336392,-0.1953462) flying over Huntingdon, England.

Nothing to do this Easter?...

............get searching the skies.....Commoner ;D

That WWII bomber is the BBMF Lancaster. It's based at RAF Coningsby, Lincolnshire & flies regularly throughout the air display season. Not sure it's an easter egg in the true sense.

PS. I just went there & it's disappeared. They must have updated the photo.

Hi again...If anyone is interested then go to this link..

http://bbs.keyhole.com/ubb/ubbthreads.p ... d=1#import

Almost at the bottom of the page is the Attachments section...save the file... All Aircraft In Flight.kmz

double click it and Google Earth opens with all the 3,300 ( I haven't counted them yet) planes marked ........if you know of  one NOT marked then you can add it to the total........

...commoner ;)
