If it is real, I don't see why it could not be a snake, but not a dragon. It has already been said that the places man has not explored in South America should have some pretty large creatures there, where a snake of that size could live with out being hunted.

After all they said that Giant squids were real, with no prof for over a hundred years, then BAM! photos out the ying-yang of them living real deep in the water.
