Is there a doctor on the plane, well apparently the answer is more often than not "yes"

Statistically there must be fairly good chance, just as statistically there's a decent chance of their being a pilot on board (hopefully in most cases more than one, assuming the two in the scenic seats remember to get on!)

Medical emergencies on flights are always a bad thing. I can't believe that there isn't medical equiptment of every flight.

Took a flight in 2002 from Lisbon, Portugal to Dakar, Senegal. A few hours into the flight we had to divert to Lanzarote, Canary Islands because of a medical emergency with one of the passengers (heart attack we heard later). I never saw anyone running around with medical equipment. I even doubt if TAP Air has anything like that.

PS They didn't even ask if there was a doctor on the plane.

Medical emergencies on flights are always a bad thing. I can't believe that there isn't medical equiptment of every flight.

There is on every Air Berlin aircraft/flight plug,plug (again).

I suspect every flight has a fairly substantial first aid kit(s) of varying description, some of which will contain drugs a little more potent than in your average kit.

I think almost all US flights are carrying an AED and some medical kit, some of which may only be opened by doctors or paramedics.

Plug, plug, if you fly Air Berlin there is a first aid kit, a full doctors kit (only for the use of doctors just in case one is on board) and an automatic defibrillator on every flight.

Oh, that's for medical use? We thought it was to jump start the engines in an emergency. No wonder we couldn't find the cables and safety straps to crawl out on the wings...

Last time I had a medical emergency on a flight it was due to a prawn curry! Don't think anyone else used that loo the whole flight
