A transition team set up by President-elect Barack Obama is reviewing all the options, however, including the possibility of keeping the shuttles flying beyond 2010.

If that happens, then all space shuttle deals are off.

If so, let's hope your deposit is refundable.

Who doesn't want a Space Shuttle? ;D

I think the shuttles are ready to retire. They have served NASA well and should be retired.

My grandma would still whine (apparently it's too stressful to get on an airplane and come down here to visit us).

There seems to be at least a five-year gap between when the Space Shuttle program is supposed to be retired and it's replacement, the Ares rocket, will be mission ready. Also the Orion crew vehicle that sits atop the Ares and will house the astronauts on the way to the space station is behind schedule and over budget.
On another note, the 2015 moon mission hasn't to date been given any money.
