STS-126, Endeavor, to launch November 14, 2008 at 7:55pm EST.

Mission:
Deliver experiment racks, Oxygen and liquid purifiers, and a galley to the Internatoinal Space Station (ISS).

The MPLM comes back with the shuttle at the end of the mission.

Description: Space Shuttle Atlantis will fly seven astronauts into space for the fifth and final servicing mission to the Hubble Space Telescope. During the 11-day flight, the crew will repair and improve the observatory's capabilities.

This will be pushed into 2009 sometime.

If you're talking about the Hubble mission, it was pushed waaaaaay back. They determined the problem with Hubble wasw more serious than previously thought.

Will it blow or will it fly? Chances are getting better and better for the blow. the Shuttle fleet is hopelessly aged. Im placing my hopes on the Xrace and other programs, because NASA seems to lack the innovative attitude they once had. Most other space agency's are more likely to have a reliable launch program before the shuttle retires.

Well, you have to keep in mind that the shuttle is continuosly upgraded. It now has a full glass cockpit, obviously safer since the two...learning experiences... It may not look different, but the shuttle now is a completey new vehicle than what flew in the '80s and even '90s.

I read a rumor, don't remember where, but since you seem to know alot about these birds maybe you can confirm or deny. Anyway I read that they were considering refiting Enterprise to flying status because it would be cheaper than building one from scratch, and they really need a replacement for Challenger and Columbia. Any truth to this or is it just hogwash, I'm personally leaning toward the hogwash side, but it would be cool to see the Enterprise finally get to go up after all these years.

Hogwash. NASA's efforts to develop new spacecraft is deveoted to the Constellation Program (nasa.gov). The shuttle will be retired in 2010 unless another accident were to happen (knock on wood). Enterprise is only a test vehicle for the begining of the program. The shuttle's main goal now is to comlete constuction of the ISS, the only exception being STS-125 to the Hubble Space Telescope.

STS-125 is still under review.

I heard today that Hubble was once again operational and STS-125 is scheduled for a May 2009 launch. I go to the NASA website and it shows the mission is, as you said, still under review.
