Is it snowing in Hell?

Postby ShaneG_old » Wed Oct 29, 2008 5:55 am

Just wondering because gas prices here are now $1.89!!! :o  I can only hope they keep going down, maybe then the economy can start to turn around, especially with thanksgiving and christmas so near. ;)
Are we the only ones getting this lucky, or is this an across the board cut? Hope everyone is benifiting from this. :)

I am fortunate in running a Motorcycle, so Gas Petrol prices are not too much of a worry for me... ;)...

What REALLY does affect me, on my Pension, is the ever-increasing price of Gas and Electricity, for cooking, heating, and lighting, etc... :'(...!

I'm sat here at the mo', covered in Blankets, terrified to turn the heating on for fear of receiving a massive Fuel Bill!... :'(...!
(Donations gratefully received).... :-*... ;D...!

My Kitchen is the warmest place, when I'm cooking something nice... :)...!

God* knows what is going to happen when real "Winter" arrives... :o...!

F....;)...!

* and he's not helping with the Fuel Bills!... ::)... ;D...!

I feel your pain on the heating issue. :( I have discovered (much to the wifes dismay) that it is actually cheaper to run our electric oven with a box fan in front of it, to heat the house. $20 extra on the electric bill vs. a $120 a month gas bill for the furnace! But as it gets colder this little stop-gap measure will no longer be sufficent. And it's not as dangerous as it might sound. As long as you moniter and don't leave it running for hours at a time. Keeps the house nice and toasty, and the cats learn VERY quickly that it is not a good spot to hide. ;D

That's because, if you don't mend your ways but take the seasons as they come, He's got you prepared for your final destination... hotter than or colder than. ;)

I disconnected my oil tank a long while ago; the electric bill from the additional quartz heaters is still less than the combined Electric/Heating Fuel bills were.

The gas prices are dropping for purely political reasons, they WILL pick back up once the election ends.

err, maybe I shouldn't have said that...

I live in the Bay Area (San Fransico) maybe 20 minutes away and its 2.72 over here and it goes down like every other day but as what someone said on here about it going down for that reason I dont wanna talk about it ive already been in enough trouble. Although I just hope it stays low becuase I travel 45 mins 4 times a week for hockey and if it goes up to high well.. we wont be doing alot of stuff with our car. ;D

The USA reference to "Gas" generally confuses me/us over here..

"Gas", is the product, which when pressurised, piped to our premises in gas form, and ignited, and used for heating, cooking, etc.

The liquid we put into the storage tanks in our Vehicles, etc, is referred to as; "Petrol", or "Diesel", fuel.

So there is never any confusion between the two different products.. :)...!

The price of Gas.
The price of Petrol/Diesel

F......"10 Gallons of Avpetrol for my Cessna, Please".... ;).... ;D....!
