Reminds me of the police inspector many years ago, who spotted a stolen. It was the same make and model as his AND had the same number plate as his. He followed and when the car pulled into a drive, got out and arrested the driver for having a stolen car with false number plates also no insurance due to the first two points. Took the chap to the police station, charged him, processed him. Once the PNC check came back, they had to let him go with a sincere apology. Turns out the Inspectors newly bought car (a Merc if memory serves) was a cut and shut of two stolen cars

Anchorage Daily News recently ran an article about a police officer arriving home to find a burglar climbing out of a window of the officers' house.

They didn't catch him even after surrounding the area-should have called Sarah Palin to hunt him out
