Congrats Phillies, Cory did you see on the news of the celebration in Pittsburgh, I guess that a lot of Philly kids go to Pitt and the had a huge celebration in the street in Oakland last night. Mark

So........not to rain on anyone's parade, but ........how many other countries were in the running for the title of "WORLD" champions ?......the Blue Jays hardly offer any worldly competition........

Sorry, but it just breaks me up to constantly hear about the automatic world championship claims by the U.S. when in fact, the winners of any league play, are only north American champions.........I hear the Japanese are pretty good at baseball, and for that matter, I would hazard a guess that the Dominican could probably field a pretty fair team also if there was such a thing as a "WORLD" league.........

Ken, I know where your coming from.  How about MLB Champions!!
Also, there are players from those two countries plus a few others so you sort of can call it a World Series!!
