Tempelhof closing

That was one famous airport that helped thousands of people throughout some of the most trying times in recent history.
It's highly unfortunate that today's the last day of operations.

Posted: Thu Oct 30, 2008 2:43 pmI have flown in and out of Templehof on number of occasions. You really get a, "I think I will lift my feet up a bit just in case" feeling going over the houses and flats. I have also had to spanner on the ramp in the winter. Never been so cold in my life, but as I felt the same during an engine change on a 738 at Tegel, I think it is more to do with deepest Germany than the airport itself though ;D
