He's always been widely known as a very violent person. It was bound to catch up with him sooner or later.

I know the Goldman and Brown Families are glad to see it finally happen.

I found this tidbit on another site.

"In closing arguments, Galanter acknowledged that what Simpson did to recover his memorabilia was not right. "But being stupid, and being frustrated is not being a criminal," he said."

I wonder where he lives... you have to be stupid to rob someone, and I'm frustrated that college is so damned expensive, so if I go rob him I'm not really robbing him, now am I? :)

Aren't most criminal acts are caused through being stupid? And don't we have laws stating those criminal acts will be punished by penalty of law?
With Galenter as legal council we now all know why Mr. Simpson lost.

Stupid?  I'd go so far as to say it was inappropriate.

He lives a couple of miles from me (Miami), at least that's one of his homes.  It's a well known fact, but I'm not sure exactly where nor do I care.  Several of his immediate neighbors were on the news, they are not displeased with the verdict.

I didn't realize this when I originally read it but the kidnapping sentence is a minimum mandatory 5 years.

Hard time for a 61 year old.

Don't let that fool you. Remember, the court often discounts any previously jail time served on the charge. I don't think Simpson had any time served. I believe he bonded out after being formally charged. There's also time off for good behavior, so as little as 2.5yrs there. But still I wouldn't want to be in his Italian shoes.
