...do these woolly-headed Folks actually live on the same Planet as me?... ::)...!

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/7660449.stm

I can only surmise that it keeps them happy in their tiny little (Bebo) World.. ;)...!

Binary Codes and Pictures to far away places...would you believe it!...;)..!

I have great difficulty in taking these Folks seriously...

...but I suppose its always good for a laugh on a cold, wet, miserable day.... ;D...!

F.... ;D...!

I have visions of a puddle of slimy soup on the Planet Org, trying to decipher the Code...unsuccessfully... :'(...!

As you say, it keeps them happy. It also keeps the grant money rolling in for other equally ridiculous projects. Meanwhile the poor old taxpayer is expected to pay for it.

Hey Paul, what else are they going to do during those long, cold winters?

I think it's as worthwhile as any other science project, but I often think somewhere some alien is saying "That's it! I'm going over there right now to shut them up for good! Beaming signals at all hours of the day and night... my antennae are killing me!"  :D

Great, humanity is be represented by a bunch of people who's social skills are limited to friends that they "met" online. Contact with real people, they would probably soil themselves at the thought. Also and more worrying, any prospective alien will think that we all write in text and "absolutely" and" like" are the most widely used words in the English language.

I absolutely like despair, like you know what I mean like.

Why not beam our English language dictionary up there? Or the French, Greek, Latin, Spanish, Russian, Chinese and Arabic? That way, the little green men that eventually come here could talk to us right off the boat...
