One of those "Only in America" stories...............arrested for farting and wafting it at a cop and charged with battery. What will this cop arrest someone for next, wearing a loud shirt in a built up area at night, walking on the cracks of the pavement........"There is no room for people like you in this force officer Savage, I am transferring you to the SPG, now get out" ;D ;D ;D ;D

Matt

PS My next trip to the USA, I should be up for a life sentence if this is anything to go by.

Actually he was arrested for driving under the influence. The battery charge was brought on later when he supposedly slid his chair closer to the officer administering the breathalizer test and fanned his noxious butt-fumes at the officer.
In the civilian's defense he did say he had to go to the bathroom and a sly lawyer would slap a cruel punishment charge on the police department.
But yeah, only in America! ;) :D Every day is new adventure over here. ;D

An assistant says Magistrate Jack Pauley signed a motion to dismiss the charge

The mind boggles - he must have had a special pen!  :D
