I guess the same can be said of Jeffery Dahmer, Jeremy Bamber, Michael Ryan and other mass murders. So I guess all children must be taken from their parents because there's a a potential baby killer lurking behind all the hugs and kiss's.

Give me a frigging break, I'll just delete the damned post!  >:(

As a dog owner with young children I found those images quite nice and had a bit of "aww" factor. Shame you thought it necessary to delete them Romulus.

Dogs are a reflection of their owners.. A well trained dog is as well behaved as a rabbit, budgie, guinea pig etc.

Cats are probably more of a danger to kids.....

I think it's a shame also, but some people don't seem to be see anything but evil in innocent things. This is why parents can't play with their children in public w/o fear of some perv calling the law a claiming sexual abuse.

Cats are lovely creatures  ;D

Treat them nicely, they return it... Same could be said for anything though. My cat, as great as he is, is a terrible hunter and prefers to be with people instead. Some animals are just born evil... but you do get your loveable huggable ones like my cat who just likes it.

I saw it before it got deleted... and I am wondering what sort of a bond has been forged when kid licks dog and dog returns it  :o

I never said that dogs were "evil" but even in play dogs pick up things and shake them hard....it's what dogs do the world over and is a fact of life..........getting upset about it won't change it. We have to work round these things and try to make sure nasty things don't happen...especially to our so vulnerable kids..........

I totally agree that the pics were cute but the hard facts remain.....the example I gave was unfortunately not an isolated incident, far from it there are hundreds and in most cases the dog owners insisted that the animal was the most gentle sweet thing on earth :(....I am not a dog lover, nor am I a dog hater.......but the thought of what can and does happen is..........well :o

..........commoner.

Commoner ...... are you joining the mad health and safety brigade?
Because by your judgement of dogs .... none of us should get in a car because we might crash (after all that's what cars do), and the thought of it happening is too much, or get on a plane for the same reason.
Dog's attack for a reason and can't answer our questions to tell us the reason. There are breeds that are more unpredictable than others and they should only be owned by very experienced handlers. Most dogs are the product of their owners and therefore judge the owner not the dog, just like we do in any car/plane crash.
Just to redress the balance ..... here's some cute doggy/baby pics. Jake our lab pup with Eve the baby my wife childminds.

Our dogs are never left alone with her even though we are 100% sure about them ..... but then again you are never can be 100% sure about any dog.

Aww man, no need to delete the pics Romulus, I wanted to show the wife!!

Commoner, yeah I can see how some dogs, cats, mice, bunnies and humans are dangerous to human, but the pictures were probably taken in a controlled environment and Romulus posted them to give us a little warm and fuzzy, that's all...Smile man :D

By te way, my cats are the friendliest critters of the house, and the deadliest as far as hunting goes lol  Two scorpions, a giant centipede, three mice, countless flies and moths, three wasps, and two "cane" spiders (look them up on google, theyre big!!!!)

Sorry to rub all you dog lovers up the wrong way and the over reaction from Rom was only to be expected ....but my point and only point was/is that...and you just said it Eno..."you can never be 100% sure about any dog" :)

As for cars. planes etc, well there are risks with every thing in life...some we accept, some we don't...this just happens to be one of my unacceptable ones.

Lovely pics BTW....as were Roms...but I am still 100% sure that I made a valid point and I remain convinced that large dogs and small kids is a dangerous combination............

I repeat, I am sorry if my remarks upset anyone but make no apologies for expressing my personal opinion...commoner :)

the over reaction from Rom was only to be expected

I over reacted and it "was only to be expected"?

Seems as though there is a problem brewing if I'm expected to over react to posts. When certain people overreacting to an innocent post and then say I'm causing the problem, maybe it's time for me to stop posting if it's going to cause people such distress and reason for such asinine assumptions.
